2026 – Persistence, Resistance and Opportunity

Grandparents Uniting for Gun Safety, a coast-to-coast network of individuals who share our vision of gun safety for all, leans into the New Year with the same unwavering commitment to secure common-ground, comprehensive legislation that has always been our mission.

Persistence requires us to move forward on existing initiatives while Resistance requires a push back on destructive new initiatives. We believe the 2026 midterms provide us the Opportunity to elect legislators who will slow the destruction of sound gun violence prevention measures while advancing meaningful legislation to a vote.

Collaboration on both a national and local scale will strengthen the movement, and as a significant voting bloc in our state and federal elections, our combined voices will make a powerful impact.
